Jurab LS

Jurab-LS Capsules

Jurab-LS is a combination medication containing Enteric Coated Rabeprazole Sodium (20 mg) and Sustained Release Levosulpiride (75 mg). It is primarily used to treat gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), and other acid-related digestive disorders by reducing stomach acid and improving gastrointestinal motility.

Overview

Jurab-LS is a prescription medicine combining two active ingredients: Rabeprazole Sodium, a proton pump inhibitor (PPI), and Levosulpiride, a prokinetic agent. Rabeprazole works by inhibiting the proton pump in the stomach, reducing acid production, which helps alleviate symptoms of acidity, heartburn, and ulcers. Levosulpiride enhances the movement of the stomach and intestines by increasing acetylcholine release, preventing acid reflux and improving digestion. This combination is effective in managing conditions like GERD, IBS, peptic ulcers, and functional dyspepsia. The enteric-coated Rabeprazole ensures targeted release in the intestines, while the sustained-release Levosulpiride provides prolonged action. It is typically prescribed for adults and should be taken under medical supervision due to potential side effects and contraindications.

Key Benefits:

  • Relieves Acid Reflux and Heartburn: Reduces stomach acid production, alleviating symptoms of GERD and preventing esophageal damage.
  • Improves Gastrointestinal Motility: Enhances stomach and intestinal movement, reducing bloating, nausea, and indigestion.
  • Treats Ulcers: Promotes healing of gastric and duodenal ulcers by reducing acid-related damage.
  • Manages IBS: Alleviates symptoms like abdominal pain, bloating, and irregular bowel movements in irritable bowel syndrome.
  • Controls Zollinger-Ellison Syndrome: Helps manage excessive acid production caused by pancreatic tumors
  • Reduces Functional Dyspepsia: Eases recurrent indigestion without an obvious cause.
